Rules of Procedure

With 192 members wanting to make their interests heard, debates at the UN tend to get messy. To ensure that every nation has equal opportunity to voice its opinions the UN operates a set of Rules of Procedure.

Please familiarize yourself with the Rules of Procedure at AberMUN 2010. They are very similar to the rules used by MUN conferences throughout the world but may include slight differences to ensure an effective and interesting debate in our committees.

Please note that there will be a separate set of Rules of Procedure for the Politburo. It includes some modifications to the conference rules to make the work of the committee more interesting and realistic. The general provisions of the AberMUN RoP still apply to the Politburo.
